IMAGING GENETICS
-
With recent advances in the collection of biological data, the field of imaging genetics has become a burgeoning area of research. It is hoped that by combining data of different modalities, e.g. neuroimaging and genetic data, a deeper understanding of the interplay of genetics, brain function, and behavior can be achieved.
-
This project seeks to determine which regions of the brain are significantly activated when a subject is evaluating a risky decision, and whether these regions and patterns of activation vary across genotypes.
-
The data consists of fMRI, genetic, and behavioral measurements. To analyze this high-dimensional, complex, multi-modal data, we develop extensions of tensor regression to model the spatio-temporal structure of the data in a computationally feasible manner.
